Textile collect in your municipality
A sustainable municipality is concerned with the complete cycle of waste processing. Textiles are also part of this. Used clothing that is transformed into beautiful second-hand outfits, downcycled into cleaning cloths or even upcycled into new yarn: the clothing industry is ready for a circular process.
As a textile collector we contribute to this. We collect used textiles and shoes with our containers; that’s how it ends up in the circle. Contribute to a sustainable, circular society with textile containers from Second Life Textile in your municipality.

We think it’s important to provide opportunities
We think it is logical that corporate social responsibility and collecting textiles for reuse go hand in hand. Our focus is on sustainability, also with regard to the employability of people. That is why we work together with the Senzer work company: we already have several committed drivers driving around for us.
We give people who are at a distance from the labor market a chance for fun and valuable work through social return. Their enthusiasm is also a nice addition to our daily work.

Recycling via a sustainable route
We drive throughout the country every day with our Euro 6 Sprinter buses to empty a total of three hundred textile containers. We do this using the MangoStone app. It calculates the most efficient routes based on collected data. Some containers fill up faster than others. We then empty them less often, which not only saves time, but also a lot of CO2emissions.
With this digitalization effort, everything is also in the cloud. This makes hard copy printing of routes a thing of the past: this way we save paper. Plus: all parties involved, such as the supermarket where the bin is located or the municipality for which we deliver, can see in real time what has been collected and when. So transparent.

Transparent and well organised
Second Life Textile gives used textiles and shoes a second chance. We are not concerned with 'hip collection tricks' but focus on the core of our work, which must be properly organised. We have the right certifications and membership with the VHT to demonstrate that the quality of the work is our number one priority. Textile collection has been happening for years, but this profession is also developing rapidly. Fortunately, collecting textiles is part of us blood.
